Welcome to Tire Chains
Required, home of the best tire chain prices, quality and service
on the internet. We have tire chains for all light and heavy duty
applications for snow, ice and mud conditions.
Begin by selecting your
tire chain application or select the Shop For Tire Chains
button above.
Lay the chains flat on the ground so each side is parallel. Make
sure there aren't any twists in the chain links.
Drape the chains over the tire, keeping the J hook fastener on
the inside. The other side of the chains has a lever fastener. Make
sure the smooth side of the cross member end hooks is lying against
the tires.
Reach behind each tire and fasten the J hook by inserting it through
the side chain link from the other end of the chain. Pull the slack
toward the outside edge of the tire.
Move the tire forward and pull the rest of the slack toward you.
Insert the lever fastener through the opposite end of the side chain
and pivot the levers back on themselves, then fasten them under
a side chain link.
Drive forward several feet, then pull all the slack out of the
chains and refasten them as tightly as possible. There should be
about the same number of loose links on each side of the chains.
Tire chains are built to fit a range of tire sizes, and therefore
they may need modification to remove extra links. Remove the extra
links with bolt cutters or secure them to the side chain with zip
ties.
